Orangutan Outlook

You are here

Ramon and his family moved into their brand new house in summer, 2014.  Come and say “Hello” – you might even get a high five from Ramon!

Orangutan Outlook is home to our family of critically endangered Bornean orang-utans. The male, Ramon, lives with females, Vicky and her two daughters, Cherie and Summer. It is hoped that, when Ramon reaches full sexual maturity, the result will be a long-awaited expansion to the family!

The house has ceiling to floor viewing upstairs and down, offering great opportunities to see these fascinating apes pursuing their favourite occupation - climbing. Themed walls, rustic seating and informative wall panels complete this welcoming enclosure.

The outdoor paddock is also due for renovation in the not-too-distant future.
